Street Style

These are some recent example of women whose outfits caught my eye…let us know what you think!

This woman whom I met in London is wearing just the right colours and shape to suit her. She suits strong, deep colours because her colouring is deep yet cool and bright. So she wears these well and with ease for her colouring. And, her hourglass frame suits the fitted shape of her dress. Too much volume in her dress would overwhelm her. Defining her waist works well.

I frequent this vintage shop in London regularly and this shop assistant pictured here always looks creatively put together. Again, she dresses well for her colouring and her shape. Her muted, light colouring suits these shades she is wearing and because she is tall, her skirted shorts, which would overwhelm a shorter person, look adorable on her. Good use of vintage items I think.

This woman I found in Poste Mistress in Covent Garden ( a fantastic shoe shop by the way!) and loved her outfit because it was classic, casual and cool. Her Cheap Monday skinny jeans paired with Aquascutum coat and Coach handbag with Converse trainers to round it off says to me chic and urban perfection. But, the colouring of her clothes suits her bang on. She is quite bright and clear yet deep as well so the tones really suit her. Plus, because she has a straight, neat figure the looseness of the coat and its straight lines don’t overwhelm her height and compliment her shape.

This lady works at one of my favourite stores, Kate Spade (which has FINALLY made it to our shores, Hoorah!). She is dressed head-to-toe in Kate Spade (of course!) and the outfit suits her so well. She has quite deep and cool colouring so the black is very complimentary to her. And, the shape of her fitted jacket and trousers, because she is petite, works a treat on her. Anything to voluminous would overwhelm her and not flatter her frame. I love this feminine, classic look. Very professional, yet fun and approachable.

Just as a bit of inspiration, I love to admire the shop windows and try and interpret them into reality. I especially love Liberty, Harvey Nichols, Selfridges and Harrods. For the ardent fashion follower, this is no surprise. They are always amazing, never dull and never disappoint. They always give me ideas and are like 3D fashion art!
